The 12th annual WRJB 95.9 United way “Good Neighbor Radio Auction” came to a close on Friday afternoon after raising a record $46,000. According to United Way CEO Susan Goodman, this years 3-week event raised more than $46,000 with some more still to come in after all bookkeeping is done. All funds raised by the auction will stay right here in Benton County to fund 22 non-profit agencies.
This year’s auction topped last years total of $44, 000. Susan wanted to thank all of the volunteers who worked as auctioneers, manning the phones, record keeping, obtaining the items for the auction, donating the daily meals plus all who called in to buy items.
There will be a “Thank You” dutch treat dinner on Tuesday night at Country & Western Steakhouse for all of those who had a part in the “Good Neighbor Radio Auction”.
The “Good Neighbor Radio Auction” was held Oct. 8-25 from 1-5pm from Camden’s First United Methodist Church in Camden and broadcast on 95.9 WRJB Radio.
