The Camden Lady Lions are 20-2 on the softball diamond after late inning heroics helped them to pull out two district games last week. Down 5-0 headed into the 6th inning the Lady Lions came back to beat Cheatham Co. 6-5 in the 7th to escape with a win and on Tuesday April 9 against Creekwood the girls were down 2-0 in the bottom of the 7th with two outs when the “never give up” showed up again….

A two out rally produced two runs to tie the game and ultimately it would go nine innings before the Lady Lions would come out victorious 3-2…. The girls are scheduled to play in the PLAY IT AGAIN SPORTS TOURNAMENT Friday and Saturday.

Camden Lions baseball is having success as well holding a 12-4 overall record and a 4-2 record in the district….The boys are set to host three time defending state champion Riverside today (Friday) at the Camden City Park. With 8 district games left the Lions are fighting for the home field advantage throughout the playoffs…..

COME OUT AND SUPPORT THE CAMDEN LIONS AND LADY LIONS ON THE DIAMOND…..IF YOU CANT MAKE IT TUNE INTO 95.9 WRJB and 99.7 WFWL as Tim, Flash, and Charlie will have the live call of many games coming down the stretch…GO LIONS
