CAMDEN WOMAN KILLED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT IN PARIS

A THREE VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON HWY. 641 SOUTH NEAR PARIS CLAIMED THE LIFE OF A CAMDEN WOMAN AND INJURED A PARIS WOMAN WHO WAS LIFE FLIGHTED TO VANDERBILT MEDICAL CENTER IN NASHVILLE. GLENDA J. ELENDT, Age 44 OF CAMDEN WAS KILLED AND ANGEL D. SCHNEPPER AGE 45 OF PARIS REMAINS IN CRITICAL CONDITION AT VANDERBILT.

ACCORDING TO THE TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL, THE VEHICLE DRIVEN BY ELENDT WAS TRAVELING NORTHBOUND ON HWY. 641 AND CROSSED IN TO THE SOUTHBOUND LANE AND STRUCT A TRACTOR TRAILER DRIVEN BY MICHAEL WOOD AGE 54 OF WHITE PLAINS, KY. THE TRACTOR TRAILER CONTINUED TO TRAVEL NORTH IN THE SOUTHBOUND LANE AND ELENDT’S VEHICLE COLLIDED HEAD-ON INTO THE VEHICLE DRIVEN BY SCHNEPPER. THE DRIVER OF THE TRACTOR TRAILER WAS NOT INJURED.
