Benton County had a sizable decrease in unemployment for the month of April.
Unemployment in Benton County decreased 0.8 percent from March with a 3.5
percent unemployment rate and 6,690 employed residents in April compared
to 240 unemployed within the county.
Decatur County had the biggest drop in unemployment for the local area
with a 1.1 percent decrease in April to 3.6 percent unemployment.
Meanwhile, Carroll, Henry, and Humphreys Counties all had identical drops
of 0.7 percent unemployment in the latest studies.
Carroll County’s unemployment rate dropped to 3.9 percent while Henry
County improved to a 3.4 percent unemployment rate
With a 0.7 percent unemployment decrease, Humphreys County had the lowest
total number of unemployment in April for the local area with 3 percent
