A Tuesday early morning fire at a residence on Overhead bridge Road just outside of Camden resulted in the death of a female occupant. The Benton County Sheriffs Department was first on the scene at approximately 3:30 Tuesday morning followed a short time later by the Camden Fire Department. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
Sheriff Tony King told WRJB/WFWL news that no foul play is suspected. King stated that “he has not had confirmation of the woman’s identity even though its being reported in other media”. The cause of death of the woman is being investigated by the State Bomb & Arson Department. An autopsy is being conducted to determine positive identity and cause of death.
