The Camden Lady Lions captured another regional title Wednesday afternoon as they defeated Giles County 6-0 in Pulaski. The Lady Lions showed no signs of fatigue from finals week and the 120 mile drive as they jumped on the Bobcats 2-0 in the first inning and never looked back.

The win gave Camden the right to host a sectional (sub-state) on Friday afternoon @ the Camden City Park but Friday morning the decision was made to play the game on Saturday night @ 7:30 due to the Friday morning rains. Several Lady Lion Seniors will be graduating Friday night while Lion opponent Goodpasture graduates on Saturday afternoon, hence the later start. Goodpasture is no stranger to the Lady Lions as the two have crossed paths in big games numerous times both in sub-state and state competition. Both of these teams have a rich history filled with great success.

It’s safe to say you can expect another war between the two on Saturday night. WRJB will broadcast the game live. Flash and Tim will go live at 7pm. Winner goes on to the state tournament(8 teams) in Murfreesboro next week. The loser’s season will be over. COME OUT AND SHOW YOUR LION PRIDE SATURDAY NIGHT! LET’S ALL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE HARD EARNED AND ALL IMPORTANT HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE! WEAR YOUR BLACK AND GOLD AND WE’LL SEE YOU THERE!
